Hi guys, its been a long time since I haven't wrote due to my busy schedule. I hope you are doing well and staying safe amidst this tough situation. Its a hard time for all of us fighting this dreadful Corona Virus(COVID-19). We have learned so much about the virus by now and what are the precautions we should be taking to prevent and overcome this disease. Let me explain you in brief about this virus and what it actually does to your body and what are the things that you can do to prevent it. What is COVID 19  and what it does to the body?? COVID-19 i s an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. It  is more or less like the common flu or common cold which causes respiratory illness like pneumonia. We see its symptoms after 14 days which makes it easier for transmission if we are not careful. Who doesn't love chicken?? Its everyone's favorite. Why not try some delicious chicken recipe in this chilling winter, a recipe that does not need a long list of ingredients?? Definitely a yes and yes.


Guys today I  want to share you a recipe that is inspired by the hostel life of a Delhi girl Sumita Thapa. She is born and brought up in Nagaland but currently she is living in Delhi and studies radiology.
She shares us how difficult it was for her in the first few years adjusting with the Delhi Climate and food. She says, "I missed home, I missed Nagaland so much, I missed the food my mom used to cook with the bamboo shoots." She had hard time looking for food items of Nagaland in Delhi grocery stores. Whenever she found any of these item she would come up with some exciting recipes of her own. She loves cooking and eating tasty food in short she is also a foodie.
She shares us one of her own version of chicken recipe which is extremely mouth watering.
 Let's get into it.

Ingredients:

Ingredients

Chicken
Tomatoes
Ginger and garlic paste
Chicken masala
Black Pepper powder
Chili powder
Salt
Bamboo shoots

Method:

  1. Clean the chicken properly and cut into small pieces and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chicken and allow it to cook with salt as per taste.
  3. Allow it to cook till the juices of the chicken starts to come out, then add the chilli powder.
  4.  Now add the tomatoes and cook till they're cooked properly.
  5. Then add ginger garlic paste and allow it to cook till it's raw smell goes off.
  6. Add the black pepper and chicken masala and give it a good stir.
  7. Now add some water with some shredded bamboo shoots and cover it with a lid till the water dries off completely.
  8. The dish is now ready. It can be served with steamed rice.
